Have you noticed gaps under your concrete?
Maybe you see dirt missing along the edge of your driveway.
Maybe your sidewalk sounds hollow when you walk on it.
Maybe water keeps washing soil away after heavy rain.
That empty space under your slab is called a void. And if it is not fixed, it will lead to sinking concrete.
Liftwerx Concrete Lifting Services provides professional void filling using expanding polyurethane foam to stabilize soil and protect your concrete from further settlement.
Void filling is the process of filling empty space beneath a concrete slab.
Over time, soil can wash out from under concrete due to:
When soil moves, the slab loses support. That is when cracks start forming and sections begin to sink.
Void filling restores support before major lifting is even needed.
We perform void filling for:
If you see soil missing or water flowing under your slab, void filling can help.

C DowseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend Chad’s services. We had a project that required lifting, leveling stairs, and sealing minor cracks in our driveway. Chad exceeded our expectations in terms of his work ethic and communication skills. The completed project was exceptional, and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Bruce StottsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chad is a great guy, and he did a good, thorough job at a much better price than other estimates I got! Katherine ThomasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chad was super nice. He showed up on time and stayed until the job was complete. Excellent work, I would definitely contract his services again. Patricia HartTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chad came over for a free estimate on jacking up our 3step exterior stairs that connect to our concrete patio. He spent 60 minutes with multiple measurements and explained all the repairs that were needed. (He even got out our extension ladder to assess the slant of our pergola). He told us that we wouldn’t be satisfied with just jacking up our stairs because of the other problems with our concrete patio, which we were unaware of. So he essentially turned our job down. He then explained thoroughly what we needed for repairs. This guy was just sincerely interested in helping us. He was ethical, had expert knowledge, and went above and beyond his free estimate. Although he didn’t do work for us, we would definitely hire him for this type of work. Joanne HartTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very happy with completed job! Chad is great to work with and finished up the work in a timely fashion. Caleb & Callie LithanderTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Liftwerx did an amazing job lifting our sinking driveway and front stairs. They were quick to provide a quote and schedule us for the concrete lifting. Bill HumphriesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chad was great to work with. He responded to an initial inquiry on a Saturday and had a quote to me by Sunday. Leading up to the work being done, he was responsive and answered all the questions I had. The quality of work was top-notch, and I will not hesitate to bring him back out or to refer others to him. Alyssa VesterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chad is AMAZING! Our driveway / garage floor were tripping hazards when we bought our new home and he made them safer. He is quick, kind and informative. Start to finish we felt kept in the loop with solid communication, even after the work was completed he followed up to ensure we were happy with it. Bryan VineTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chad is an amazing person to work with. Very honest and takes so much pride in his work. There were moments with our project that I was satisfied, however Chad was not and continued to work hard on it until he was satisfied with the results. I would recommend Liftwerx over and over again. Sandy PodtburgTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chad was very professional and did a great job! I was very pleased with his communication throughout the process. Would highly recommend!
You may need void filling if you notice:
Voids rarely fix themselves. They usually get worse over time.
Hearing a Hollow Sound Under Your Concrete?
Many people think the solution is to pour new concrete.
But if the soil underneath is not stabilized, new concrete can sink too. Void filling fixes the real problem — the missing support under your slab.
It helps:
It is often much more affordable than waiting for full replacement.
We use polyurethane foam injection — the same system used in concrete lifting.
1. Drill Small Access Holes
We drill small 5/8″ holes into targeted areas of the slab.
2. Inject Expanding Polyurethane Foam
The foam expands beneath the slab and flows into empty spaces. It fills voids, compacts loose soil, and creates stable support.
3. Patch & Ready to Use
Once the void is filled and stabilized, we patch the holes neatly. The area is typically ready for use the same day.
No excavation. No tearing out concrete. No large equipment.
Polyurethane foam is designed for structural stabilization. It expands to fill small spaces and hardens quickly beneath the slab.
Most projects completed in just hoursOur goal is simple: restore your concrete to a safe, level condition quickly, cleanly, and at a price that makes sense for your home and your budget.

Clear answers about soil washout, hollow slabs, and long-term stabilization.
Yes. If the slab is still level, filling voids restores support and can prevent future settlement.
Mudjacking uses a heavy slurry to fill space. We use lightweight polyurethane foam. The foam expands to fill small voids and adds less weight to weak soil.

When installed properly and drainage issues are addressed, void filling provides long-term stabilization.
That depends on whether the slab has already settled. We assess your concrete and give you a clear recommendation during your estimate.
One common sign is a hollow sound when you tap on the slab. You may also notice soil washing out along edges, gaps forming underneath, or small cracks starting to appear. In some cases, water drains under the slab instead of away from it.
If you are unsure, we can inspect the slab during your estimate and determine whether stabilization alone is enough or if lifting is also needed. You can learn more about how we assess slabs on our concrete leveling Process page
Yes, in many cases it can. If the slab is still level and structurally sound, filling the empty space underneath restores support and helps prevent settlement before it starts.
However, if the slab has already sunk, we may combine void filling with lifting. If you are already seeing uneven areas.
Water is the main cause. Poor drainage, heavy rain, downspouts discharging near slabs, irrigation overspray, and freeze-thaw cycles all contribute to erosion.
Over time, that erosion creates empty pockets beneath the concrete. Filling those voids and correcting drainage issues helps protect the slab long term.
Void filling stabilizes the slab and prevents additional movement. While it does not remove existing cracks, it helps stop further cracking caused by soil movement.
If your slab is both cracked and uneven, you may also benefit from concrete repair to address surface damage along with stabilization.
Yes. The polyurethane foam used for void filling expands and hardens beneath the slab, creating stable support. It is designed for structural soil stabilization and works for both residential and commercial concrete surfaces.
If you are unsure whether your slab qualifies, we can evaluate it during a free estimate.
Yes. We provide void filling for residential and commercial slabs, including sidewalks, parking areas, warehouse floors, and building entrances.
If your business has uneven concrete or hollow spots forming, you can also learn more about our commercial concrete lifting services.
Most residential void filling projects are completed in just a few hours. The foam cures quickly, so the slab is typically ready for use the same day.

Unlike full replacement, there is no demolition and no waiting days for concrete to cure.
